I might have no more use for them. From the very beginning, Star Trek as a franchise had the bigwigs small minds against them. Star Trek WAS going to be cancelled very early, but LUCILLE BALL, of all people, someone who was never on it, went to the execs and offered to 'sponsor' them bringing it back. 

One of those t.v. execs actually said, "There's no future in science fiction." That may be one of the STUPIDEST statements ever spoken by someone in authority in the entertainment industry.
