What did you think of Trump's suggestion of a monetary incentive to have children?

Stupid. Why would anyone agree to 5k to do something that costs 12k in the first two years minimum? And that's not even including the copays, the extras, the ER visits if anything goes wrong. That's just clothes, diapers, formula, laundry, carseat, and a discount Pack-and-play that is both playpen and crib. I mean, maybe if you have relatives they buy all the toys and help the woman not take off work? One estimate has raising a child to age 18 to be $1,000,000.

I could maybe beat that by a few thousand if no one else had any say over what was bought and the kid never kept up with any Joneses and lived without a lot of the things his friends had. There is an obvious answer to your question.

[change in breathing] What? Trump would agree to 5k for 12k over 2 years.

Because he's a bad businessman? Because he's a president. A 'banker's' salary for life he will receive for becoming president which cost half a billion minimum.
