Manipulate Americans Hazardward Again?

[snort] Not STIGMATA, STIGMA! [exasperated huff] Okay . . . So I have a cousin with some mental issues? There's one in every extended family. Prozac was what worked for him. Then somebody committed suicide less than a week after starting it. People went nuts. So they needed Prozac too?

[snort] No, I mean they gave crazed interviews on t.v., lobbied, ranted, raved, that Prozac should be banned. Could it have caused the suicide?

Not really. Prozac, like most mental health meds, takes up to three weeks before it's at full strength. Most likely the guy would've committed suicide a day EARLIER without it since he was taking it for depression. So, your point is that banning birth control pills would do harm?

Potentially great harm. My special needs kid takes them for anxiety. She is not sexually active?

She'd better not ever be. She's not legally able to consent to sex. There was once a lady whose bipolar disorder was best managed by birth control pills. There are loads of other reasons to take them. Why do they want to ban them?

Some people shouldn't take them and didn't figure that out as soon as maybe they could have. Maybe their doctors didn't tell them what to look for. Maybe they didn't read the warnings. I don't know. Calling them "poison" is an irresponsible thing to do. Did I say irresponsible? We should say stupid. There are people allergic or sensitive to every medicine ever invented. There are people who suffer side effects with every medicine ever invented. 

In general, people need to read their own labels and doctor's notes and stop listening to influencers. Those manipulative morons need to shut up about medicine. They don't know medicine. It would appear they also know very little about statistics, biology, and the common good. What do you think of people who still use the rhythm method?
